The 150mm RMG Scorpion STD dives to around 1 metre and is mainly used for trolling for large salt and freshwater fish species. The shape of the tail aids you in getting more casting distance, as well as being able to get the lure down to its running depth very quickly. When trolling areas of structure, like rock bars, sunken trees, along the edge of drop-offs and weed beds, the buoyancy of the lure and the tail shape will allow it to be backed off and float over the snag. It may not work every time, but it will surely make a difference. This lure can also be used for casting at schools of feeding fish like tuna, kingfish, Australian salmon and tailor, and if that doesn’t work you can try trolling around the edge of the schooling fish.
